GBL celebrates 10 years of content

Wow.

Well, it’s been a while now, hasn’t it?

What can we say? We’ve had our hands full since the last time we posted on here. About 5 years ago. A lot has happened since then. Where can we start?

First off, in 2021, we began operating and administering SuperCombo.gg. This has been our focus over the past 5 years, and we’re proud of all that we’ve accomplished in that time.  Before launching SuperCombo.gg, we began administering the Mizuumi Wiki here at gbl.gg.

This led us to start a new project with SuperCombo.gg. With offline and online tournaments in Costa Rica and the USA, fighting game news and support, live broadcasts, and production, we’ve accomplished more than we could’ve envisioned. A testament to the countless hours and extraordinary efforts made by ALIANZ & Shiburizu, the two founders of SuperCombo.gg, and our very own legends. SuperCombo.gg celebrates its 5th Anniversary later this year in October. Stay tuned, we’ve got something special planned for that milestone.

SuperCombo.gg now operates two offline tournament series, The Dojo in Costa Rica and Warring Triad in North Carolina, USA. Tonight, we’ll be broadcasting Online Dojo #25 for Street Fighter 6, live on Twitch.

We thank the FGC for their continued support.

Be sure to follow SuperCombo.gg on YouTube, Twitch, X, and join the Discord server for Wiki editing, tournaments, and more. Join the Mizuumi Discord server, too!

We have remained active on YouTube, where ALIANZ has continued to upload videos throughout these past 5 years. As a matter of fact, in conjunction with our 10th Anniversary, ALIANZ will be streaming Resident Evil Requiem, which launches tonight. We wouldn’t want to have it any other way, being that our Resident Evil 2 In-Game rewards video has been our highest-viewed video these past 10 years, garnering over 181,000 views.

Our second-highest-viewed video in that span, with over 113,000 views, was a special project we put together to compile an album that was scrapped due to bootlegging in the late ’90s. Nas’ I Am… The Autobiography, the double album we never got. It’s the only one of its kind on the internet, based on a preserved tracklist from that time.

We want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey throughout the years. Our friends Sephirothevil, DeeAiZee, fioyl, Minimum Payne, ProtoDad, Squid, Polar Bair, ShinJay, Chaf Cancel, Voidvirago, KnicksFanTV, Nxtgen8k, DammnDee, ToNYD2WiLD, Shimatora, Kashkabald, Preppy, Hagure, and the list goes on.

Thank you for 10 years of content at Gotta Be Legend. We’ll catch up again soon. Until next time. Peace!
