Guilty Gear Strive Open Beta starts Feb 17

The devs over at Arc System Works have announced that an open beta for Guilty Gear Strive starts on Feb 17…If you preordered the digital edition for PS4 or PS5.

If you digitally preordered, then you can download the beta test at 10:00 Pacific Time on February 17, 2021. The game will be available to play at 19:00 PT on the same day, when servers open. It doesn’t matter which version you preordered, as this offer is open to buyers of the Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate edition. This offer only extends to the North American PSN.

If you did not preorder, then you can join in on the open beta on February 18th, 2021 starting at 19:00 PT. The open beta will be available until February 21st, 2021 at 6:59 PT.

Characters

There will be 13 playable characters. Anji Mito and the 15th character will not be available.

Modes

There will be four modes: Tutorial, Versus, Training, and Network.

The game features rollback netcode. Players are also encouraged to report bugs or glitches to the developer. The beta will not display connection strength and matchmaking will not be affected by connection strength at this time.

Let’s Rock!

You won’t be able to carry save data from the open beta into the full game. A Playstation Plus membership is not required to play online multiplayer during the online beta test, but an online connection is required to access the beta, even in offline modes.
