Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night out now with Shovel Knight playable

Long-awaited “Igavania” game produced by Koji Igarashi, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox. The game arrives on the 25th on Nintendo Switch, for a price of $39.99 on all platforms.

You can hop in now and start playing now for a full singe-player experience with alternate endings to unlock. Developer ArtPlay has promised Online and Local Co-op in free updates. Those updates will also alter the way you play through the game with harder difficulty options, “roguelike” mode and a boss rush mode. We know that the game has multiple playable characters in the style of Igarashi’s work on Castlevania, but Shovel Knight is teased as playable in the launch trailer.

On Steam specifically the $9.99 “Iga’s Back Pack” DLC can be bought to add Igarashi himself as a boss fight and earn an exclusive weapon. This DLC is coming to other platforms on the 28th for Switch and July 2nd for PS4 and Xbox.

One specific update coming very soon after launch will add a new outfit to unlock along with Speed Run and Boss Rush modes. ArtPlay is promising upgraded graphics with that as well. Check out the game on Steam over here.
