Epic Games has made a short blog post letting their PC players know that Season 10 will update the game client’s requirements. In short, DirectX version 11 has always been a requirement to play the game, but there has been compatibility for DirectX 9 and 10 in some cases. That will strictly no longer be the case.
One can only hope the change is for the benefit as Fortnite has had its fair share of loading time issues and pop-in on PC. These have been corrected over time in Season 9 but we could still be in a better place.
