A side-scrolling shooter with emphasis on total control over your acrobatics. Play with an inventive split-aiming approach to shooting and ragdoll your way around the levels as a badass with a talking banana friend. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night -10% $35.99
It’s been a long time coming for Koji Igarashi’s spiritual successor to his work on Castlevania. The game is an excellent spin on the formula on its own with an extensive magic system and colorful visuals. You can check out our intro play-through, and take advantage of 10% off this new game.
Additionally, one of the stretch goals for the original Kickstarter was a spinoff game. Curse of the Moon (40% $5.99) is a side-scroller more akin to classic Castlevania, and you can get a discount on that too.
Mortal Kombat 11 -17% $49.79
The troubled launch is behind us and Mortal Kombat has established itself as the fighting game of the moment on PC. If you’re one to play single player challenges, the Tower system offers the best value of any other title. If you’re out for multiplayer blood, the Kombat League offers ranked progression and unique rewards. This is one with huge appeal if you like DBZ or Marvel vs. Capcom games.

Even producer Harada has been amazed at how well Tekken 7 has endured over the years. The pinnacle of hardcore 3D fighting games has seen a huge competitive community and frequent updates combined with a cinematic single-player campaign. Don’t skip this one, the paint is still fresh.
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] -25% $29.99
Otherwise known as UNIST, the anime fighting game is both casually accessible and a codex of knowledge for fighting games. Play through a visual-novel story or go online with an accessible fighting system that rewards smart play. This game has the most extensive tutorial of any game in the genre, so if you want to learn the fundamentals you can carry to any game you should start here.

The pixelated Minecraft by way of Mega Man X is one of the best value games ever published on PC. With a massive free update on the way to double the total items, you’re never short of things to build, weapons to try or bosses to fight.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 Eternal Edition -40% $26.99
Baldur’s Gate III is approaching, and if you’ve never played the work that made developer Larian famous you really should. A strong narrative with emphasis on diversity and quality of the choices you make accompanies a unique combat system. What’s more, you can play the whole thing online with your friends.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection -94% $5.90
While you won’t be able to get Borderlands 3 on Steam right away, the full collection of Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel with all the DLC is simply massive. If you’ve never gotten into the series you can get it for an amazing price for the classic loot shooter.
Blood: Fresh Supply
The original Blood on DOS is a personal favorite of this writer. A doom-like game with fun additions like the iconic tommy gun and dynamite sticks you’ll be taking down hell cultists while running really fast. The game has been ported to a faithfully-made new engine to bring it up to 2019’s PCs while packaging the full game.
