Grand Theft Auto V gets the long-awaited Casino on July 23rd. The Diamond Casino & Resort is a massive building housing casino games against the house and a penthouse to buy which opens up even more of the building. The update is also packing a slew of collectables obtained through playing in The Diamond.
The Casino is going to offer Three Card Poker, Blackjack and Roulette as table games. Slot machines and virtual horse racing are video gaming options, and there will be a “Lucky Wheel” to spin for a chance at chips, cash, clothing or the new Truffade Thrax car which will be offered on the first week. Rockstar is advertising the prizes to rotate on a weekly basis. If you’re looking to browse a catalog of items, the Casino Store will offer curated items to buy outright.
The Diamond is a casino open to all, but for the whole thing to unlock you’ll need to purchase The Master Penthouse. doing so will offer VIP casino areas, High Limit options for the casino games and special services available to your phone after buying. The penthouse will be customizable to include stylist services and multiple floor plans such as spas, bars and theaters. Story is included, too: Property owner Tao Cheng will offer new co-op missions and you’ll land a new vehicle for completing his questline. You can always come back for more work from a dailies NPC at the casino.
