The cheesy description for the first game still fits the franchise today:

The action game that launched a whole genre of aerial rave action and witty anti-heroes, Devil May Cry is headed to Nintendo Switch next week. At $19.99 the game will be as previously enhanced in the HD Collection from last year on other platforms. This is only the first game in the series; Capcom has not announced plans for other ports yet.
Pick it up on the e-shop on June 25 in the west and June 27 in Japan.
