The stylish indie platform fighter Rivals of Aether is letting you bring everyone to the fight soon. At Smash Con 2019, developer Dan Fornace announced Steam Workshop support is coming to allow custom character creation. Using a custom character created by Daniel Reis to demo the feature, just about any character can be created in the style of MUGEN.
Rivals of Aether is in an interesting situation where the game also exists on Xbox but does not have any announced mod support for consoles, or Windows 10’s store. When pressed on a model for bringing over the best mods to the game, possibilities are open:

So far, dates are not set for when Workshop support is set to arrive. Rivals of Aether is out now on Steam and Xbox One.
