An unforeseen Nintendo Direct mini came out of the Labyrinth of Amala today. Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, the most influential game in the mainline series, is receiving an HD remaster.
There’s a good bit of fanservice in the trailer, such as the Matador battle. The game is scheduled for a Spring 2021 release. Incidentally, it also appears as though English voice acting will be present. The game looks to run on the same engine that was used for Tokyo Mirage Sessions.
Shin Megami Tensei V will also release concurrently.
It appears as though the Nocturne Remaster will be available on the Switch and PS4, while SMTV will be a Switch exclusive. The Nocturne remaster is primed to release later this year in Japan.
In other gaming news, Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda is receiving a season pass that includes three waves of DLC. The first pack of DLC releases today, and includes 5 new characters, including Impa. Later waves of DLC will include additional music and a Skull Kid map.
