If the only thing that could make Tetris 99 better is having plain ol’ Tetris in it, Nintendo is ready to deliver. Tetris 99 will get a physical release on September 20th. You get this game’s Battle Royale offering for free with your Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and in May they added offline Marathon mode and CPU-enabled offline battle royale as part of the Big Block DLC.
The next update to the game will also be included in physical: Local Arena will support 8 players at a time and two players separate in Share Battle mode. To sweeten the deal, Nintendo is throwing in 12 months of individual Nintendo Switch Online for the buy. We don’t have a price for the box yet.
